I did the task about the linux file permission, I changed the permission then execute the script and got the output, eventhough, the result was Failed

In task there weren’t specified which user/group is using this script on host, so one applicable solution was to add executable permission to user/group/all

1. I was unable to open the task linux time zone and it got expired, can you look into it and let me know.
2. can my second task(file permissions) be reassigned again.
3. user with non-interactive shell failed even though correct.

It might have re-assigned to you somehow and possibly you didn’t attempted it this time so it got expired.

Your non-interactive shell task was a failed with a valid reason. See this thread, you have done same mistake.

Hi @maheshschand You have an extra / in the end of the shell /sbin/nologin/ which should be /sbin/nologin. That extra / makes it treat like a directory rather than a file/binary so its obviously incorrect.

Further any failed or expired tasks will be re-assigned to you in near future so you can give them an another try.

chmod +x xfusioncorp.sh

Hello, Thank you all for reporting this. Since its a bash script not a normal file so it is asked to give it executable permission so that server users can run the script later whenever needed. Please note that in case of bash script bash is the interpreter that is actually going to execute the script and the interpreter needs to read the script so even if you have given it only executable permission the interpreter i.e bash will not be able to execute it so you had to give it read permissio…

Running sudo and the bash script and it executes. I just did chmod +x as well so I dont think the instructions are that clear.
