Good morning all, thanks @Mumshad Mannambeth and the kodekloud team for building up this interactive learning environment. I got certified today after following this preparation steps
• CKA kodecloud video theory and hands-on labs
• kodecloud ultimate mock exams series -> x10 + check documentation on unclear subject
• experiment with local KIND k8s cluster
• take the two killercoda exam free sessions with 1 week in btw
• ask some example of syntax and examples to chat GPT 3.5 all along
• take a very cold shower and strong coffee before the exam
Lesson learned from the exam
• backup sensitive config files before doing cluster wide operations like restoring etcd -> 6 other tasks required that cluster to be healthy
• you can ask in the chat to pause the exam if you’re facing technical issue
• scroll firefox with the arrow keys, trackpad was having crazy inertia for me
• MacBook users can turn off their laptop screen with the betterdisplay app and use external monitor brew install betterdisplay
Good luck and farewell !

@Antonio Vendramini my score on any mock exam out of the ultimate series were above 90% before taking the real exam. score on the real exam was above. score on killerCoda was 55% mainly because I was out of time. (Takes me 4h to complete and check it all )

Antonio Vendramini:
@codeapp_denis 90% on the kodecloud 10 mock exams series?

codeapp_denis:
@Antonio Vendramini could you rephrase your request ?

Antonio Vendramini:
Sorry, yes of course, @codeapp_denis I’m asking you to confirm if the 90% of score you get was referenced to this course https://kodekloud.com/courses/ultimate-certified-kubernetes-administrator-cka-mock-exam/. I’m haveing those % in the mock exams of the course Udemy Labs - Certified Kubernetes Administrator with Practice Tests but in currently I’m on AVG of 30% on https://kodekloud.com/courses/ultimate-certified-kubernetes-administrator-cka-mock-exam/ (of course limtating me to 2h). Many thanks to share your experience

codeapp_denis:
@Antonio Vendramini yes those exams. I would recommend to keep on practicing until you score in btw 90 and 100 %. keep up the good work :+1:

codeapp_denis:
@yeni I meant to make a copy the file you edit, in case things are going south. cp /etc/kubernetes/manifest/etcd.yaml ./etcd-back.yaml

Do you mean that etcd restore was on a cluster on which other question were to be performed? So like if one fails etcd restore question, then other question cannot be completed?

Victor:
@codeapp_denis how many days you took to prepare

Ajith kumar (Aji):
@codeapp_denis How hard is the real exam compared to ultimate CKA mock exams.?

codeapp_denis:
@Victor a little less than 2 months and I’ve been managing k8s infrastructures for 2 years on GCP

codeapp_denis:
@Ajith kumar (Aji) I would assess the exam difficulty to be about as the same of the ultimate cka exams series. killershell free sessions are a lot more advanced especially it you consider the time constraint ! and the killercode scenario are harder require deeper knowledge than the real exam

Ajith kumar (Aji):
Great, thanks for the details
