VM root log in denied

Hey Community,
I have this problem, I installed centos Linux, version 7, flavor rhel fedora in my VM (VMware Workstation on my window) but I can not log in as root to perform some important tasks. When I try this message pop up: Username is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.
