Virtualbox not supported for m1 mac

I cannot find any installation file for virtual box for mac m1. Can we please update the course to include recommended VB for m1’s

Hi @uday-acharya

You can see the following link

VirtualBox is still buggy on Apple Silicon.

You can easily run Ubuntu VMs using multipass: https://multipass.run/ however since that is from the makers of Ubuntu, it only runs ubuntu VMs.

hi @uday-acharya

I’m not a M1 user, but I made a quick reasearch. If you don’t need to run your VM in virtualbox 100% , you can use parallels if you are willing to pay. Also in homebrew there are the Qemu and virt-manager packages supported for various Mac Os. It seems [In my quick research] that Qemu works in M1 ships with the Hombrew package, maybe the virt-manager also does [There are some people saying that in the Internet]. If you are in a hurry you can try the Qemu and run it with virt-manager, downloading it with the hombrew repo.

Have a nice day
