Under OS and storage all that I see are Linux options. I do not want to use CLI at this time.
I am looking for a workaround as soon as possible.
Thanks.

Not sure what’s going on – the list of allowed services says you can choose a Windows OS, but I’m not seeing that as an option in the playground today when I try it. I’ll ask our playground engineers what’s up with that and get back to you.
Thanks for doing this. I really need this to work as my job depends on it.
Thanks.
Any luck? There is nothing like needing to log back in every morning only to find out that it still isn’t an option.
I had to get a refund due to this since I need a service where this works. If this does get fixed please let me know and I will be right back as a customer. Thanks.
I think Rob was off work today. I expect he will follow up tomorrow
As @Alistair_KodeKloud points out, I’m out today (holiday). Our engineers, who are mostly in India, were also off a couple days this week for holidays in India, so it may be a few days before someone can look at the playground. There is a ticket open for this, so you can expect some action in a few days.
I would also argue that the “Windows” operating system itself should constitute “Premium”. Having any instance of Windows spin up should be considered basic.
Thanks.
WOW URL was blocked so it makes it even harder to get this snowballing explanation over to you. I am trying to hang in there but this is getting to be a bit much.
I am going to Upload the screenshot of the URL I hope at least that is visible:
I also noticed an indication that the below images are not allowed. It is hidden and should be for everyone to see.
Further to that the statement should use correct syntax e.g. “Below premium OS images are not allowed” with a colon afterwards:
As it sits the operating systems are mentioned with a bullet next to them which creates an enormous amount of confusion especially without said semi-colon (note that below the bullets do not show in this post as the formatting has been removed which makes articulation of this even more tricky unless you pay careful attention).
I AM NOW CONCERNED THAT THIS WAS ALWAYS YOUR STANCE AS OPPOSED TO BEING A TECHNICAL ISSUEAND THAT THIS WILL NEVER BE FIXED BASED ON THAT STANCE

Below premium OS images are not allowed
Windows
SUSE
RHEL
Ubuntu Pro
SUSE SAP
RHEL SAP
Linux SQL
Thank you.
As soon as this is verified to be fixed I will come back as a customer. Expectations are running high at my job with all of these layoffs and I am expected to perform immediately.
Appreciated.
We’re still figuring out how we want to handle this one – arguably it’s a documentation problem – the wording of the “limits” section is, in my opinion, at best unclear, and needs fixing – but since I believe we allow for Windows virtuals in other playgrounds, they should make sure it works.
In general, the playgrounds are not intended to part of your work environment, however. You should ask your colleagues to give you access to a GCP account for your work; we can’t promise to be a substitute for that.
Thank you Rob. That sounds like good news.
I either explained my work situation incorrectly or you misunderstood my need to have this working for work.
Corporations and other entities expect technical proficiency immediately a.k.a. hitting the ground running prior to having (for example) a GCP account.
I am a seasoned techie with over 25 years of experience. Unfortunately this field has devolved into the need to know 100 things into 1000’s of things and getting paid half of what we used to do it all.
So to be clear, once granted a GCP account I had better be prepared to show proficiency in it or else the 1000’s of folks behind me who don’t have jobs will certainly be proficient.
BLUF - I need to be able to spin up a GCP instance in KodeKloud so that I can be prepared to work prior to having said access at my job.
I hope this clarifies things.
Thanks for your efforts.
Any updates? Looking forward to good news.
Currently, it looks like the GCP playground does not support Windows virtual systems. We’re considering it, but I don’t have any info about when that might be.
