Hello Team, I have subscribed to kodekloud primarily to access labs and practice deployments in EKS clusters. However, I encountered an error while attempting to create EFS in the AWS lab environment. I require EFS for learning the deployment of Jira in the EKS cluster. (EFS is needed for Jira deployment).
Also, I am uncertain about how this community operates. May I have a conversation with someone from the KodeKloud support team? My main purpose for enrolling in KodeKloud was to utilize these labs. It is disheartening to observe that the fundamental services in the labs are not functioning properly. Additionally, EFS is included in the AWS free tier. Therefore, on what grounds are you stating that it is not enabled in the labs? Please understand that I did not join here just for leisure. Is there any option of escalating this matter to Mumshad @Alistair_KodeKloud@Tej-Singh-Rana ?
If you are a support engineer from Kodeklud, I would like to express my concern regarding the type of solution that you are providing to your customers. I am already aware of the document and have been following it diligently. However, I am currently facing an issue where I am unable to select VPCs. The error message states that I am not authorized to perform this action. Instead of simply referring me back to the documentation, it would have been more helpful if you had asked me about the specific error message that I am encountering. Do you happen to have any potential solutions for this particular error? @Tej-Singh-Rana
There are a lot of services that are covered by the so called “free tier”, but they’re only free if you play by certain rules. If you violate those rules then the service incurs a cost.
In order for us to provide a service, a lot of work has to go in to set up policies and permissions boundaries to ensure that users cannot go outside the reach of what is covered by free tier. I don’t know how many engineers there are on the lab team or what their workloads are - that is Tej’s domain, but they have to support ALL the course labs as well as ALL the playgrounds.
Note that it is free to set up your own AWS account, then you can create what you like - without the safety net provided by playgrounds. They will only bill you if you go outside the definition of free tier.
