I wanted to use the event subscriptions feature of the RDS databases to get SNS notifications regarding the database failover to the standby to simulate RDS database instance failover to the standby database instance
This sounds reasonable; I’ve asked our lab engineers if this permission can be enabled in the playgrounds. We’ll see what they say.
They need a bit more information about what you want to do. One of them asks:
We need the steps the user is following to create an RDS database instance and the permission issues they are encountering.
If you can please explain a bit more, this will help them figure out what needs to be done.
