I have disabled the direct Root login , on all the app server (there are three app servers named , stapp01, stapp02, stapp03) , but after submitting the task. its says . it was not disabled on server 1, as you can see in the attached screenshot … permission to root user is denied.
It’s asking you for a password, which suggests to me that the sshd daemon on stapp01 is still willing to log you in if you supplied a valid password. Is it possible you did not restart the daemon after you updated its configuration on that host?
I have restarted the service. Then tried to login as root user, it show access denied. Which is the desired objective of this task.
But still systems flags it, as stapp01 do not have , disabled root login.
How are you restarting sshd? I just checked the lab, and did it successfully. For each of the 3 app servers, I needed to:

Aah , Idk what was the issue , last time. I think I did not restarted the daemon properly after change.
After your comment, I tried it again and rechecked my work. it worked !!
