I am not sure what went wrong, I had created the archive of /data/kareem and moved it to home folder as desired. My task didnt get success status. I am just wondering what went wrong.

Please note that extension you are asked to use for the archive i.e .tar.gz so you are supposed to create an archive of data using tar along with gzip compression. As we reviewed your answer you have simply created an archive using tar without gzip compression hence your answer was marked as failed.
