Reduce number of labs in mock exam

Hi.

This is regarding Ultimate Certified Kubernetes Administrator mock exam(CKA). Earlier it use to be 10 labs…now its has been reduced to 5…why this all of sudden reducing the labs…i feel cheated after paying full year subscription

You shouldn’t: the key metric is the number of questions in total. Before we changed to the current format, we had a body of around 100 questions, but we assigned them randomly to each exam. This meant that if each exam pulled 20 questions out of the pool – which is more or less how it worked – you had to take the exam a fair number of times (perhaps as many as 10) to make sure you got all 100 questions. You might get one question 3 times, and you might get a question 0 times in 10 times.

Really, your goal needed to be getting to do all 100 questions. This was not the most efficient way to do it. Now, we just divide the questions up into enough exams so you are guaranteed to get all of them, with out any randomness about it. It’s also easier if you want to do the same question again. In the old system, you had no idea how to find the same question twice. Now that’s no longer a problem – if the question you had trouble with is question 12 in exam #3, it’s always question 12 in exam #3. This also makes it easier for you to get support, since it was also painful for the support engineers to find your question.

So you get as many or more questions, and you can find them easily. What’s not to like about that?
