@Hinodeya: Could you please elaborate when you say etcd wont be the same as Mumshad course? how to check client etcd backup? is it a different process for client etcd ?

AFAIK he’s referring to the point that ETCD is running as service where in the course we are using it as static POD.

So then in this case will the back and restore process changes ?

Also when etcd runs as service , kubeadm cluster upgrade will not work for etcd right ?

Commands would still remain, we normally refer to the config info from pod definition file. Now we would have to get etcd from ps -eaf command figure out the config file passed as parameter.
