Other AI tutor questions and glitches

Hi,

I love the AI tutor. However, I would like to know what to do if it freezes over in the middle of a session. Sometimes I ask it something and it takes almost a minute to answer which is bad enough.

What do I do if it totally freezes? Do I just leave the crashed session and come back? That’s not great if I am in the middle of doing something that was very hard for me to compile or understand.

Also, is there an option for other voices?

Thanks.

The feature is rather new, so there are going to be specific issues with using it. I just tried it in the terraform aws playground, and it seems to work fairly well (I had it generate code for an ec2 instance that can be accessed with ssh; it worked flawlessly).

I’m not sure why it would crash, although give that the chat infrastructure is fairly heavy, I suppose that’s not surprising in some circumstances. If you can describe a step-by-step summary of how to get the crash (not so easy I suspect) I can forward your description to our engineers, and they can investigate further. In general, that will be what you can do to help us fix issues with it at this point – if I can’t reproduce your problem, it’s hard to tell the engineers more than what you tell me directly.

As for different voices for the AI – I suspect that it could be done, but I don’t think there’s currently a way to get that without us engineering that option in.
