I don’t think so. The certification Jeremy is teaching is a multiple choice exam – the exam isn’t practical, and the course therefore does not have labs. So whether you have access to NVidia specific GPUs or not won’t matter for doing the course.

I use Macintosh hardware, which currently uses it’s own, distinct GPU tech. At this point, most common open source packages that need GPU services now support that tech as well, or other non-NVidia tech. The tech industry, like life in those Jurasic Park movies, finds a way.
