Network namespace module pre-req

Hello,
I was trying to follow along with the pre-req video, as well as the tutorial seen here Certified Kubernetes Administrator Exam: Networking

When I attempt to create a bridge, the network interface never gets into a working UP state.

[root@localhost ~]# ip link
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/ether 08:00:27:06:93:0d brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
3: vnet0: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/ether 22:33:b0:09:3e:39 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
4: veth-red-br@if5: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 qdisc noop master vnet0 state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/ether 22:33:b0:09:3e:39 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff link-netnsid 0
6: veth-blue-br@if7: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 qdisc noop master vnet0 state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/ether aa:e5:d2:4e:1f:20 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff link-netnsid 1

This was the case using ubuntu18.04 and centos 7 via vagrant. Not quite sure what’s going on here. Any pointers?

Try assigning ip addresses with netmask like ip addr add 192.168.15.1/24 dev veth-red.
