Hi,
In the mockexam2, in question 15 we are asked
to create a bridge between 2 interfaces.
In the “configure bridge and bonding devices -demo” video, the teacher shows a directory with a lot of very usefull templates for network configuration in /usr/share/doc/netplan/examples .
On a personal VM (mint) I failed to find this directory, and in the mockexam2, this directory does not exist (node01).
I can’t for the life of me find this info online, so i would like to know how to update the ubuntu database, or what cmd to enter to download and get access to this very useful template directory for netplan.
I’m not that familiar with netplan, but looking through the netplan docs I find this link to Canonical’s github directory that might be relevant.
Hi,
Thank you again for your swift answer Rob. I’ve seen this page already, and, yes, these are the examples we were shown in the lesson. But the lesson implied these docs were natively present on our ubuntu system with netplan installed, which is not the case.
We won’t be allowed to go online during the LFCS exam, so i wanted to know if there was a way to update the /usr/share/doc/
I searched for a long time and i finally found a workaround : executing the cmd # unminimize reinstalled all packages with their associated documentation, but :
- that command takes at least 5 min to execute,
- I don’t know its effect on all the other packages and configuration of the lab
- and I don’t know if we have the right to execute such a command during the LFCS exam.
So if anyone has a more precise way to get the documentation from a single package on a minimal version of ubuntu, feel free to share
