Asokan Chinnasamy:
what is client and server here?
Jason Bornhoft:
I believe that the client version is your local kubectl
version and the server version matches the version output of k get node | grep master
Jason Bornhoft:
master $ k version --short
Client Version: v1.17.0
Server Version: v1.16.0
master $ k get node
NAME STATUS ROLES AGE VERSION
master Ready master 20m v1.16.0
node01 Ready <none> 19m v1.16.0
Jason Bornhoft:
More precisely, the server version is this
master $ k describe pod -n kube-system kube-apiserver | grep Image:
Image: <http://k8s.gcr.io/kube-apiserver:v1.16.0|k8s.gcr.io/kube-apiserver:v1.16.0>
