KodeKloud Engineer — When Should I Start Using It?

Hi everybody, I’ve been using KodeKloud for about a month now, but I’ve only been going through tutorials and small labs, which makes me feel like I’m stuck in “tutorial hell.” One question that has arisen from the very beginning is: when should I start using Engineer in my journey?

What are the best practices? For example, should I complete a Linux course and start using Engineer right away, or should I finish the full DevOps curriculum and then go through everything in Engineer?

I’d love to hear your best practices for this, as I currently feel like I’m not getting my money’s worth from the subscription. It seems like there aren’t any projects — or maybe I’m missing them.

What are you waiting for? Just dive in!

Pick a topic you feel somewhat comfortable with and start tackling tasks. If you clear them, keep progressing. If you don’t—great! That’s an even better learning opportunity because you’ll figure things out along the way.

There’s no “right” or “wrong” approach—what matters is that you’re learning.

Personally, I balanced both—going through courses while also solving tasks. Whenever I felt like I had absorbed enough theory for the day, I’d switch to hands-on tasks.

So don’t overthink it. Just start, experiment, and enjoy the process!

Dear @Srikanth_Reddy, alright, but are there any big projects that could help me potentially land a DevOps role?

Hey @djole97,
If you are talking about projects being present on KKE, then I don’t think so(at least not currently). If you are on discord maybe join this event and see if you get any ideas or leads for projects.

Also, I may not be the right person to guide you on landing a job, I’m in search of one myself. Anyways, keep learning and improving yourself. :slightly_smiling_face:
