Is Ubuntu a good alternative for centos?

Hello all, I’m working on a m1 MacBook and it seems like I can spin up centos. any thoughts or feed back

@Bakerb.photo , Ubuntu is a good alternative for centos. Ubuntu is based on debian and is updated more frequently. Centos is based on RHEL and is updated scarcely.

Thank you @TGP. I got ubuntu running on parallels. I got it set up to ssh from the OSX terminal but Im having trouble with launching new Vms via Vagrant. I need to do some more research on that one since I’m a ARM64 MacBook

Ubuntu is bloated. CentOS is minimal. And also supported by kodekloud. So I don’t think you should go with Ubuntu. If you’re low on resources, go with minimal CentOS.
