Is ingressClassName in ingress required

Hi

I was doing an exercise on killer Ingress Create | Killer Shell CKAD | Killercoda and I got it wrong because I did not specify the ingressClassName.
This was the first time I hit upon such spec and I was wondering if you need it to provide each time. And if not, which is the default value ?

It’s not always necessary, but it is good practice to specify it. The conditions for default ingress class are discussed here
