In the Level 1 Docker practice, I am stuck in the first task itself.

I am in the jumpserver, and I am supposed to login to app server 3, which is stapp03, correct?

But ssh into the app server is continuously giving me permission denied error, even though I use sudo.

thor@jumphost ~$ sudo ssh [email protected]

We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System
Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:

#1) Respect the privacy of others.
    #2) Think before you type.
#3) With great power comes great responsibility.

[sudo] password for thor:

Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no/[fingerprint])? yes

In KKE tasks, we set up servers that are “owned” by an administering user. To find out who that is (and to get a password for that user on that server), you look at the list at the “Details of All Users and Servers” you see at the top of every KKE lab page.

For App Server 3, if you look up on that Details page, you see

Server IP Host User Password Purpose
stapp03 172.16.238.12 stapp03.stratos.xfusioncorp.com banner BigGr33n Nautilus App 3

So to get to that server you need to do

ssh banner@stapp03

and use the password for that user. If you need to administer that server, you use sudo -i and supply banner’s password.
