I’m unable to create a Redshift cluster with dc2.large as it appears unsupported in the playground. Which cluster sizes are allowed

I tried creating a Redshift cluster using the dc2.large node type, but it seems this option is not supported in the playground environment. Could you please let me know which cluster sizes I can use to create a Redshift cluster without violating the playground’s policies?

The instructions say:

So it should be allowed. What exactly did you try, and what error did you get when you tried it?

Hi @rob_kodekloud,

Since the dc2.large node type is unavailable, I used another available cluster configuration. The cluster is created successfully, but it automatically terminates within 1–2 minutes. Could you please advise which cluster type we should use at this time?

Our engineers tell me that dc2.large has been EOL’d by AWS, and they’re still figuring out what to do about this. I’ve asked for an update from them. Don’t know much about the “automatically terminates” thing – that sounds seriously odd.
