I’ve tested for CKS and got disconnected for some reason in the middle after answering only 11/16 questions.
So I opened a ticket at linuxfoundation telling them about it and they take all the time in the world to respond to my ticket.
5 days have passed and I still didn’t hear from them… I’d like to know if there will be a retake or whatever, but as time flies, the 12th of September is just around the corner and I was wondering… Once the certificate’s test gets updated with the new materials, how long does it take you to update the courses here on KodeKloud and how many changes will you think there will be in the new test?
Thanks
Ouch! Been there, done that with CKS.
The issue today is that it is the Labor Day Holiday in California, where LF’s offices are, so you may not get a response until business hours on Tuesday. But I expect that you’ll get a response for your ticket immediately. I would expect they will grant you the retake without hassling you for it, and you’ll be able to reschedule pretty quickly. Do it fast, however: I expect there will be a rush to get appointments before 12 September, due to the change of requirements.
As for updating the CKS course: like you, we are somewhat in the dark as to what will really change on the 12th, and even we won’t really know until one of our engineers takes the new version of the exam. Because the Linux Foundation hasn’t told us much either, TBH. Once we know, we’ll make changes.
As they say out your way: b’hatzlacha on the exam, when you do take it.
