Nazia Kausar:
Hiya i wanted to know how long did it take you to prepare for CKA Exam and is there any tips
Tej Singh Rana:
Hello @Nazia Kausar,
Please check the pinned items of this channel for tips.
Tej Singh Rana:
If you are already working on k8s then it will take 2 or 3 weeks and if you just started then take at least 1 and half months.
John Anderson:
I went through the udemy course in 1 week and then did one killer.sh session before the CKA and got 85%. The udemy course is 18.5 hours (I watched it on 1.5x to cut that down) and then the hands-on labs on it take slightly more time than the videos themselves.
But if you are willing to put in ~40hrs to get through the course in a week its more than doable
John Anderson:
Lookin back with hindsight, I wouldn’t recommend doing it in a week but its doable if you want to
Nazia Kausar:
@John Anderson wow that is amazing my exam is on the 2nd of june and trying to balance sleepless nights and ramadan at the same time but it seems i spend alot of time writing theory base need to do more practical
Karthik:
@Nazia Kausar Good luck
Lisenet:
It depends on how you look at it really. I’d say it took me a few solid months of work experience to prepare for the exam, but then I didn’t have to do the course to be fair as I had the skills. It’s difficult to estimate how long it would have taken otherwise without any prior knowledge of Kubernetes.
