Pas:
Hi Team, I am struggling to get my minicube k8 working following the videos on the udemy course. It seems like k8 installation for minicube for k8 has now channged. https://kubernetes.io/docs/tasks/tools/install-kubectl-macos/#install-kubectl-binary-with-curl-on-macos

Tej_Singh_Rana:
Hello, @Pas
If you share more details like what command you ran and what errors you are facing, will help us to troubleshoot and to guide you.

Pas:
Hi Tej, thanks for your response, the problem is that the documentation for installing minikube to start using k8 is different from the instruction video’s on the “Absolute beginners for K8” training videos.

Mohammed Qureshi:
I’m facing the same issue as Pas. The documentation has changed.

Pas:
No help whatsoever from the support team, this is not a good start with a training platform like this.

Tej_Singh_Rana:
Hello, @Pas
We are already looking into your issue. Can you please wait for some time?

Tej_Singh_Rana:
Hello, @Mohammed Qureshi
May I know what kind of issue you are facing? apart from that.

Tej_Singh_Rana:
You can install the minikube from this page - https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/start/#what-youll-need

Pas:
Thanks Tej, I really appreciate. I have a quick question, what is the need to install minicube on my local machine whereby KodeKloud is giving access to the lab environment for the exam preparation?

Tej_Singh_Rana:
Minimal requirements are -
• 2 CPUs or more
• 2GB of free memory
• 20GB of free disk space
• Internet connection
• Container or virtual machine manager, such as: https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/drivers/docker/|Docker, https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/drivers/hyperkit/|Hyperkit, https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/drivers/hyperv/|Hyper-V, https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/drivers/kvm2/|KVM, https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/drivers/parallels/|Parallels, https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/drivers/podman/|Podman, https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/drivers/virtualbox/|VirtualBox, or https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/drivers/vmware/|VMWare
