Hi In CKAD exam, can we open multiple terminals? If so, how can we open a new terminal? I used simulator from killer.sh and I do not see an option to open new terminal. It’s difficult to do vim editor and look for information at the same time with one terminal.

Tej_Singh_Rana:
Hello, @hemanth siriki
Unfortunately you can’t open multiple terminals (Only single terminal).
If you’re familiar with tmux then you can try with it. If you’re not familiar with it then don’t try in the official exam.

Sangeetha Radhakrishnan:
will tmux installed in the exam environment or we need to install and use it?

Tej_Singh_Rana:
By default, If it’s not installed then you can install from package manager (In case of Ubuntu, apt)

ramu:
You may not need multiple windows. I never felt the need to open multiple windows during both CKA and CKAD exams

actually, kubectl explain --recursive output would be nice in a second terminal….

Yeah, that would be good but that’s restricted. Please have a look for point 8. Only single terminal console is available during the exam.
