Hi All, please advise for CKA exam am I fine to use “sudo -s” and perform all questions as root or I need to use “sudo” as and when required?

Michael J:
I haven’t taken the exam yet, but I’d be stifled if they didn’t allow you to use sudo.

In order to even install Kubernetes you need to install various components which will require you to have superuser permissions.

Be careful running as root though, because you can easily make a mistake, and if they have a user they want you to use, you could interfere with the pathing of certain files and potentially break the exam depending on how they grade you.

Once again, haven’t taken CKA exam - speaking purely from my other exam experience.

Hello, @V
It’s a sudo -i . You can complete all the tasks from root user without any interruptions.
