Apaar Sharma:
hey guys, small query. do we get option to open multiple tty in the CKAD exam like the mock test labs, or tmux is a must ? and does it comes installed or you have to install it?

AB:
@Apaar Sharma
https://docs.linuxfoundation.org/tc-docs/certification/tips-cka-and-ckad

Tej_Singh_Rana:
Hello, @Apaar Sharma
Single terminal only.
VIM is sufficient but if you know “tmux” very well then go for it.
If it’s not available in the given server then you can install from package manager.
You will get ubuntu OS, so install it from apt.

Apaar Sharma:
@Tej_Singh_Rana thanks! another small query, is it an issue if I keep the bashrc and vimrc settings in my clipboard before starting the exam ? can it result in disqualification ? I am just a little worried because I realize that my speed is not up to the mark, took me 4 attempts to get the lightning lab done 100% and that too I believe is more due to the fact that I don’t need to read the questions thoroughly in the later attempts.

Alessandro Casula:
when do you have the exam?

Alessandro Casula:
if you don’t feel confident, you can remove the reservation freely up to 24 hrs before

Apaar Sharma:
@Alessandro Casula I haven’t booked yet, but was hoping to give this weekend, the lightning labs drained my over-confidence :joy:

Alessandro Casula:
learn by hearth the 2 instructions to put into the .bashrc

Alessandro Casula:
like the alias for kubectl

Alessandro Casula:
and maybe the autocompletion i don’t use in my day by day

Alessandro Casula:
anyway, you need to cross 66%

Alessandro Casula:
with a free retake

Alessandro Casula:
maybe you can use additional time to learn new things

Alessandro Casula:
perfection is not good

Apaar Sharma:
my end goal is CKA, opted for ckad as warm up, anything below 80, won’t be great for my confidence. Man i wish I was better at linux
