Trung Tran:
Hello, I got this issue while backup the ETCD, can someone help?
root@controlplane:~# ETCDCTL_API=3
root@controlplane:~# etcdctl --cert-file=/etc/kubernetes/pki/etcd/server.crt --key-file=/etc/kubernetes/pki/etcd/server.key --ca-file=/etc/kubernetes/pki/etcd/ca.crt --endpoints=<https://127.0.0.1:2379> snapshot save /opt/etcd-backup.db
No help topic for ‘snapshot’
Trung Tran:
Need to put the ETCDCTL_API=3 before every command, not sure why.
ETCDCTL_API=3 etcdctl --cert=/etc/kubernetes/pki/etcd/server.crt --key=/etc/kubernetes/pki/etcd/server.key --cacert=/etc/kubernetes/pki/etcd/ca.crt --endpoints=<https://127.0.0.1:2379> snapshot save /opt/etcd-backup.db

Track Buddy:
By default ETCdCTL uses api V2…so u need to explicitly tell using V3
