Dimitris Pilios:
Hello guys. I m gonna take CKAD exam in few weeks and i ve got some (maybe minor) questions regarding the exam process:
- I m gonna use my laptop (with build-in webcam) + an extra monitor. My laptop battery is not working properly so practically i have the laptop plugged in all the time. This means that at the beginning of the exam i will have to show a 360 wide view of the room while holding the laptop while it is plugged in. Also, the HDMI cable connecting the extra monitor will be plugged into the laptop at the time of the 360 view of the room. Do you think this is gonna be difficult or the proctor may have any objection?
- There is a preview of the exam screen uploaded by linuxfoundation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UqkWcdy140 . So in the exam tab of my browser the only content i will see is that? Or there will also be some small area for interacting with the proctor, like chatting with proctor, etc ?
- What about my PC tasks and services running in background? May the proctor examine thoroughly my task manager and ask me to shutdown every such service? For example there may be apps i have set to run at PC startup like Everything, ClipX, Greenshot, etc
- To my understanding, the exam page program will override every keyboard shortcut i have on my PC. So for example i will not be able to copy anything from PC clipboard to the exam page area. Am i right?
- Will i be able to execute any preparation work, like configuring VIM text editor or Bash on base node BEFORE my exam session starts? Or every work has to be done inside exam session?
- I know that many exam questions share a common cluster. But are there some of them also sharing a common namespace? If yes, this means that, while performing tasks for a question, say X, you can view in the same namespace the kubernetes resources you produced in a previous question, say Y. This could be a bit confusing
