Hello Everyone, in the audit policy labs, even though i applied my changes to the kube-apiserver.yaml under /etc/kubernetes/manifests - the kube-apiserver is unable to pick up the changes. Any ideas why its not picking up, there are no errors in the logs whatsoever.

Vinod Kumar Nair:
Hi @Dinesh Pola, your screenshots are partial…did you add audit file configuration to this manifest file above? Also how can you be sure if there were no errors? Did you check the kube-apiserver logs under /var/log/pods…?

Dinesh Pola:
yes i did add the audit file to the manifest. After saving the changes, the kube-apiserver is able to come up fine. checked the kube-apiserver pod logs as well…nothing present

Vinod Kumar Nair:
can you paste you audit yaml rules here?

Dinesh Pola:
in previous posts regarding audit polkicy issues, someone referred to the name of the mount was being used already. I did not see any issue with the mount name how ever i changed it but no effect.

Dinesh Pola:
I have closed the session as it lasts only 60 mins. Will try again and post more info
