Ajay Singh:
Happy to share the news of qualifying the CKAD yesterday. Thanks to KodeKloud team for the wonderful course. Especial thanks to @Mumshad Mannambeth and @Alistair Mackay for the step by step guidance throughout my preparation timeline.

Sharing my mantra here for accomplishing this certification. Might help y’ll, during your preparation

Duration: 1.5months (Started from scratch)
Preparation materials: Udemy CKAD @Mumshad Mannambeth course. (Went through the course twice)
• Recommend to go through 2nd time as well if you have time because, it really helps you to understand the big picture. As this skill is not just for clearing the exam, you also need to understand on where and how can you use create these k8 objects in your production cluster.
• Once, I had the confidence of where to use what and, what’s are the alternatives to create k8 objects, imperatively or declaratively like in our case, went for the mock exams in the course.
Exam Preparation Time: 15 days

  1. All the labs in the Udemy CKAD course. x 2
  2. Mock exams in the Udemy CKAD course x 2
  3. killer.sh session 1 & 2 (Scored 67 and 89)
  4. Last (CKAD exam 95)
    Total Preparation time - 2months
Tricks involved during exam:
  1. Mastered command kubectl explain (Saved lot of time)
  2. Solved 85% of questions the imperative way
  3. Got a feeling for a question that it will take time then Flag it, Read it and move on.
  4. Practice, Practice and Practice your mocks ----> You will see the magic in real exam:dizzy:;
With this great feeling thanks again to this community for all the help. Next stoppage in the journey is CKA :railway_track: . See you all there soon!!!

Alistair Mackay:
You’re welcome @Ajay Singh and congrats.

You are aware that you can do killer.sh as many times as you like within each 36 hour session. There is a control to reset the environment.

Ajay Singh:
Wow that’s a new finding. Let me try that for CKA. Thanks again for the tip!! See that’s why you guys are heros:pray:

Alistair Mackay:
When you come to do killer for CKA, you’re aiming to nail it with score > 100 with time to spare! Which should be possible after 3 or 4 resets.

Alistair Mackay:
And you should be able to cover course material fairly quickly. Around 50% of it is the same as CKAD

Awantika Nigam:
Congratulations @Ajay Singh. Feel free to add your success stories here <#C0459E6K4AZ|achievements>
