Not sure whether “Kubernetes” is the right section to ask this question, if this is not right place, please let me know.

In Production Grade GKE (standard) cluster,

(a) How often , admins ever ssh into nodes ?
(b) What activities they perform on by ssh-ing into the nodes ?

It’s not just GKE, it’s any cluster

You should rarely need to SSH to a node for reasons other than troubleshooting, e.g. disk full.
