GitLab CI/CD Course – Multiple Labs Broken (Repos & Runners Not Provisioned)

Hi team,

I’m raising this as a course-level issue, as it appears to be consistent and reproducible across multiple labs and users.

This relates to the course:
GitLab CI/CD: Architecting, Deploying, and Optimizing Pipelines

Affected labs

Summary of the issue

  • The GitLab repositories that should be auto-created as part of the lab setup are not being provisioned
  • Example: in Lab 1, the expected lab-1 project does not exist in the GitLab instance
  • The same behaviour occurs across Labs 2 and 3
  • As a result, the labs cannot be completed as instructed

Additional blocker

  • There are no Docker runners available in the lab environment
  • Pipelines remain stuck in pending due to the absence of runners

Confirmation

  • The issue has been reproduced multiple times
  • Another learner has confirmed experiencing the same problem

I previously reported this on the KodeKloud community forum and the Discord support channel, but there has been no update so far

Impact

At the moment, this blocks progress through the course, as the labs depend on pre-provisioned GitLab projects and runners to function correctly.

Could the team please confirm whether:

  • There is an ongoing issue with lab environment provisioning, or
  • These labs are currently under maintenance or require updates?
