For those of you who are taking the CKS exam
- Login early - 30mins prior to your time slot. The bridge program runs a check on what is running on your computer. If you’re using Windows for your certification this can be a problem because there are lots of stuff that runs in the background that you may not even know about. Eg. Nvidia Container, etc. Took me about 20 mins to uninstall everything. Very stressful. Try to stop all background processes and services and even then the bridge program will still find some to complain about.
- If you can get a better webcam. My webcam can focus on my face but not the my id. It can only focus when the id is quite far away; but at that range the text is illegible. Check your webcam with your id and sure that it can focus on your id at close distance
- You will not have time to check your answer. So speed and accuracy of your solution is important. Learn all the imperative command. You don’t have to memorize every option but the common ones. Use the imperative command to generate a template which you can customize; eg generate a pod and then add securityContext or whatever you need to do.
