FluxCD video is great - Flux Ovierview / FluxCD Installation

I wanted to add that this video is great, and the content has just the right balance of simplicity and detail.

I wanted to submit feedback, but it seems turned off or broken for FluxCD.

Which feedback link is broken? I just tired the one at the end of the course and it seems to be working:
Feedback - GitOps with FluxCD - KodeKloud

All the Feedback subsections in “GitOps with FluxCD”. I finished feedback before in one section (Feedback - GitOps Overview - KodeKloud), and afterward, I cannot submit feedback in any of the other sections. It’s perma broke.

Thanks for highlighting this, @therealjoaquin. I have forwarded this to the concerned team.

Regards,

I am finding similar problems with Consul as well, so I think this happens with every course/content offered.

What happens if one of the objective’s feedback is filled out and submitted, and all of the objective’s feedback gets flagged as submitted?

I’m guessing there’s a global variable that sets the mode, or the whole system is not oriented to give feedback per objective. If the latter is the case, then maybe remove to feedback from all the objectives, and just place it in the last objective. This would save us from having to mark this part as complete each time, when there is nothing you can really do with it.

@Tej-Singh-Rana did you folks find out anything about this?

Hi @therealjoaquin,

The team checked it for the “GitOps with FluxCD” and “Consul” courses; no issue was found.

Would you do a hard refresh on the feedback page before submitting it?

Hi @Tej-Singh-Rana,

Recently, I have tried the Vault lab, and I noticed that it has a web form fo the section feedback. For other content, there was no web form, just a big submit button. Thus I thought it was broken, when actually, there’s just no content (a form) to submit.

My expectations, given a different experience with Vault, is that there would be a least a comment box in a web form for that given section for Consul and other content. Given that there is nothing, it was confusing.

Was their intent not to have feedback for those sections? It might be a good idea to at least have a comment box.

Lastly, I heard from one of the authors, that they have not gotten any feedback from KodeKloud. I would hope that if there was feedback, it would be given to the authors. It is a shame if feedback just goes into the recycle bin.
