Feedback on AWS Sandbox Playground Accessibility

Hello KodeKloud Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide feedback regarding the AWS Sandbox Playground that you offer. While I appreciate the initiative to provide learners with a hands-on environment for practicing AWS services, I regret to inform you that the current setup seems to be significantly hindered by permission restrictions, which greatly limit its usability.

Upon attempting to utilize the AWS Sandbox Playground, I encountered numerous challenges that impeded my ability to practice effectively. Despite the intention for it to serve as a learning environment, the prevalence of “permission denied” errors has rendered the experience frustrating and counterproductive.

Key issues I encountered include:

  1. Limited Access: Basic actions such as creating users and applying policies are met with permission restrictions, severely hampering the learning process.
  2. Lack of Functionality: The environment fails to provide the essential functionality necessary for comprehensive AWS practice, undermining its purpose as a learning tool.

Given these challenges, the current state of the AWS Sandbox Playground does not align with its intended objective of facilitating practical learning experiences. As a user eager to enhance my AWS skills, I find the existing constraints to be discouraging and counterintuitive to the learning process.

I kindly urge you to review and address these concerns to ensure that the AWS Sandbox Playground becomes a more conducive environment for learners to explore and practice AWS services effectively.

Thank you for considering this feedback. I look forward to witnessing improvements that will enhance the overall learning experience for users.

Hi Tanmay, We heard you and make the changes to get the access to AWS IAM ASAP in next couple of weeks. Please bare with us.

Thanks,
JSky

I agree. And its not just the IAM, VPC and subnets are also an important part of the AWS learning and I was surprised that the playground doesnt let us explore that as well. Please look into this too.

I just created a subnet in the existing VPC and then created a new VPC. All worked fine.

My bad. I realized i was working in a region which was not supported.
Thanks for pointing out.
