Trying to create image builder pipeline but I am stucked at step to create recipe because I can not fetch the original ami.
What “recipe” are you attempting here? The screen is not enough context to understand what your error was. A link would be useful.
I am also observing same issue, unable to create Image recipe with, as it is not listing base image to choose, observed same for all OS types.
I’m not sure why the “managed image” dropdown doesn’t work, but it does not. Instead:
- Use the “Use custom AMI” option instead.
- Go to the AMI search page to find the image you want, and get its AMI ID.
Even with this, I’m having difficulty getting the Image Builder to work in the playground, and I’ve asked our engineers to investigate this, to either remove any impediments or at least to document this better.
Even tough I used custom AMI with its ID. I’m still stuck at the recipe step. At least one build component is required and I am not able either to see managed aws components or create my own one. Is there any other workaround or I need to wait until this is fixed?
We have an issue open on this, and I’ve asked for an update as to why there’s no action on it yet.
@huonguyenlt @lakshma @thejesus567 Looks like this has been fixed. If you can, please try this out for yourselves and tell me if it works for you now.
