Disappointed with Azure Playground on KodeKloud: Limited Access to Essential Features

Hi everyone,

I’ve been learning the AZ-104 Azure Administrator course and was really excited to put my knowledge into practice. To do this, I decided to use the Azure Playground provided by KodeKloud. However, I’ve run into a frustrating issue: the playground seems to lack access to almost everything I need.

Whether it’s Network Security Groups (NSG), Application Gateways (AGS), Private DNS Zones, or other essential services, I keep getting the same message: “You do not have access to perform this action.” This has been happening consistently with nearly every feature I try to explore.

If we can’t even practice with these basic tools, what’s the point of having an Azure playground? I was hoping this platform would help me get hands-on experience, but it feels more like I’m being restricted at every turn.

Am I missing something here? Is there a different way to access these features, or is this just how the playground is designed? I’d love to hear from others who might have found a workaround or know more about these limitations. Right now, it feels like I’m just staring at the Azure interface without being able to actually learn and practice.

Thanks in advance for any advice or insights!

In order to offer the Cloud Playgrounds at a reasonable price, it’s necessary to limit some of the services offered in it. So they are a good place to get experience in the basic operations of a platform, but they aren’t (and can’t be) general access to all of the platform’s services. I’ll check with the team concerning the services you’re mentioning to make sure can’t allow for some of those, but of necessity, some services will not be in our offering.
