Cron task marked as failed

Hi,

This task was marked as failed with error in screenshot. Before marking the task “Finished” I did test and it worked on all application servers ie stapp01, stapp02 & stapp03. Also this cron task was set for a root user.

Some one please tell me where I got this wrong!:slightly_frowning_face:

Hi Salim,

Thanks for reporting this. /etc/crontab file is used to add system wide crons. However in question I believe it is asked to add cron for root user in root user’s crontab itself, hence this was marked as failed.

Please let us know if you still have any confusions.

Hello,

As mentioned in the question itself the service name is crond so you need to make sure its up and running.
