Hi, I like this course, but there are grading issues for the quiz at end of Module 3. I gave correct answers (even copy / pasted the exact solution given from Feedback -see screenshot below), but using all lowercase letters as instructed. The question consistently is marked “incorrect,” despite this. Additionally, another question about command for listing all hardware components should not be incorrect if I add “sudo” before the command. Could you please fix this quiz grading? Either have the answer bank include more flexible, alternative solutions. Or use multiple choice options if the system can’t recognize a correct user-written response?
Hello! When you ask for help on a given quiz or lab, it helps a lot if you give us a web link to the quiz or lab you’re asking about. I’m not sure which quiz this is, so it’s hard to help.
Thanks, Rob! Here’s the link Coursera | Online Courses & Credentials From Top Educators. Join for Free | Coursera . I hope you can access it?
You know that Coursera is a different platform than Kodekloud, yes? I don’t have access to that at all.
Yes, I posted on Coursera’s discussion page for the course, but the weird thing is the instructor actually gave Coursera users the link to this KodeKloud website…(See screenshot below. The “here” links to this KodeKloud community site, where there seems to be no Coursera category at all). Guess I can wait to see if anyone actually responds to my post from Coursera?
That’s pretty odd. I’m asking my tech support colleagues if they know about this; it’s news to me.
Thanks! Might just take some time for the instructor on Coursera to see my post. But it’s certainly odd to link this KodeKloud website for technical help? Unless they just mean tech support for the labs? Anyway, appreciate your attempt to help. Hope you have a good weekend.
If you’re needing help on a lab hosted on our site, we can help. But if the quiz is not on our site, I can’t really do much for you – I don’t have access to anything on Coursera.
Hi @c_l,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused. The team has updated the quiz type; it is now multiple-choice. Please give it another try.
Regards,
Appreciate the update! Could the team also please correct grading for Module 6’s Quiz? (See attached). Perhaps check all other quizzes in Modules 7, 8, 9, 10 for questions for user-input answers? The team might change any user-input questions to multiple choice since the grading system has trouble with user-input answers. I’m sure future students would appreciate these fixes.
