CKS training (10/2025, Curriculum 1.33)

I was wondering if someone had an update on the CKS training course (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) | KodeKloud)?

I used it to prep in April 2025 (which I failed) and found it very light weight with regards to the exam difficulty & topics from the 1.33 curriculum (e.g. only minimal Cilium coverage and no Istio).

The change list since then doesn’t give away much:

  • September 4, 2025 - Updated Mock Exams
  • May 26, 2025 – Lab environment upgrade to 1.33v (in progress)

Wondering if someone from KodeKloud has an update on this? Also keen to hear from others who went through the training recently.

We added a bit related to Cilium, and we also added material on Istio, since this was added to the exam requirements some months back. I’m not sure what exactly was added to the Mock Exams, but as you can see, that was done as well.
