CKS Cours: lab on ISTIO installation & use with no lesson about ISTIO

Hi, I’m following CKS Course and I’ve just started a lab at the end of the third module that asks to install ISTIO for mTLS exercises. There’s no video course about ISTIO, is it something beyond CKS exam or did I miss some lesson about that?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
As Istio is not part of LF’s CKS curriculum, thus not relevant for the CKS course, and the Istio lab should not be available. Any questions related to pod-to-pod encryption on the exam will focus on Cilium, for which we have dedicated lectures and labs.

I have informed the lab team about this discrepancy, and they will address it accordingly.

Thank you, Cilium lessons and labs are not yet included in CKS course or am I wrong? Do you mean that support will have to remove istio lab and add cilium lessons and labs?

The lectures and Lab for Cilium are already available in the Minimize Microservice Vulnerabilities module.

Lectures:
