I’m preparing for the Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) exam and would love to hear your tips and tricks on passing the exam effectively. With the exam date fast approaching, I want to ensure, I utilize the best strategies and resources available.

Here are some specific areas where I could use advice:

  2. Practice Labs: How do I effectively use the Labs and hands-on?
  3. Time Management: How did you manage your study time, especially when balancing with other responsibilities?

  5. Common Pitfalls: Are there any common mistakes or pitfalls to avoid while preparing for or taking the exam?

  1. Study Techniques: What study techniques worked best for you?
  • The Kodekloud videos covers all the topics in the Exam curriculum. This should help gain the knowledge on the concepts and help prepare you from an exam perspective.
  1. Practice Labs: How do I effectively use the Labs and hands-on?
  • Practice, Practice and Practice.
  • Repetition is the key and helps you ace the exam.
  1. Time Management: How did you manage your study time, especially when balancing with other responsibilities?
  • One should devote quality time without second thought. It should become a discipline.
  • Make a plan. (Lets say Video content is worth 30 hours., You need to devote at-least 1 hour a day to catch-up., that’s a month for just watching the content. Lets be honest., it wont work that way. We will need to pause, take breaks and by the time you complete ~50% of the content, 5% of the memory already fade due to lack of practice and less repetition, so we will end up watching and practicing more. )
  • Sometimes everything will not go per plan, that’s totally Okay., just continue crawling if you can’t walk.
  1. Exam Strategy: What strategies did you use during the exam to manage time and ensure you completed all tasks?
  • Complete all the questions that you know for sure is right.
  • If in doubt, that it takes more time for a question, flag that question and reserve it at the end if you have time.
  • The easiest question are usually at the end. so keep hitting all the questions till the end and do not get stuck with one in the earlier stages.

  • Preparation is the key.
  • Take the exam using a bigger monitor.

  • Once you feel you are ready for the exam., take the Killer shell exam simualtion’s, that will give you a insight how many questions you can crack with in the limited time available.
  • Go through this CKAD youtube playlist by Cloudastic that gives a walk-through on all the question scenario’s.
  • Crack on with the exam’s., you should be able to hit it. If not, don’t worry, you got another chance. So keep rolling. All the best.
