CKA Course Updates for upcoming exam changes (1.19)

Hello there,

We hope that you are well during these uncertain times.

We have made a few updates to the Certified Kubernetes Administrators course to keep up with the exam curriculum changes which is expected to take effect from the 1st of September 2020.

Here is a list of updates:

  • Storage Section: A new lecture on storage classes and a hands-on lab.

  • Troubleshooting: A new network troubleshooting lab has been added to bolster the troubleshooting section. This includes topics such as service proxy, kube-dns, and Network Addons that are already covered in the Networking section of the course.

  • kubectl apply: A new lecture explaining the kubectl apply command.

  • Solution Videos: We have also added solution videos for most of the labs.

  • Updated Kubernetes Imperative Commands Lab.

  • Lab Upgrades: We would be commencing the upgrade of our labs to 1.19 soon and it is expected to be complete by the end of September. From September 1st, the CKA Exam would be using 1.19. However, note that there are no major differences between 1.19 and the current version of the labs (1.18) with respect to the exam. So you should be good to practice on 1.18 itself while preparing for the exam.

And finally, we have created a GIT repository with notes, links to documentation, and answers to practice questions of the course. Please make sure to go through these as you progress through the course:

We wish you a happy learning experience and the best of luck for your exams.

As always, if you have further questions, please reach out to us.
