Hello, I attempted the CKA and CKAD exams last week after completing the “Kubernetes Certified Application Developer (CKAD) with Tests” and “Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) with Practice Tests” courses by Mumshad on Udemy, but unfortunately I failed both exams. The exams were really tough. I recently bought the mock tests for both certifications by Vipin, are they good enough to prepare for a retake? Do you have any other suggestions?
Yes, I practiced killer.sh mock exams for both CKA and CKAD before real exam.
What score did you get? We should have at least 90–100 on killer.sh before taking the real exam.
I practiced killer.sh thrice to get 100% on it before attempting exam. I would say exam was more tough as compared to killer.sh
I scored 65% and failed exam for CKAD is though compared to the killer.sh sessions .
can you please inform which portions are tough and topics covered in the CKA exam
When I cleared the CKAD exam, I did not rely on just a single course. I made extensive use of the official Kubernetes documentation, because the exam is open-book and understanding how to quickly navigate the docs is extremely important.
In addition to this, the Kubernetes GitHub community helped me a lot. I came across a community post that shared several CAKD mock tests and practice scenarios for different Kubernetes certifications, including CKAD and CKA. Practicing those mocks gave me real exam–like exposure and helped improve my speed, accuracy, and confidence.
Overall, the combination of official documentation, hands-on practice, and community-shared mock tests played a key role in my exam preparation and success.
