I have gone ahead with Rocky Linux on UTM instead of centos on VirtualBox as the latter is not working on my mac m1 and is constantly throwing errors. Now I’m stuck on the virtual box networking lecture where the instructor creates a new network using the Host Network Manager. Can someone please tell me how I can do it on UTM or IS IT OK IF I DON’T CODE ALONG AND JUST WATCH the lectures and understand the concepts?

Unfortunately the course was created before there was Mac M1. We are working on a solution that will work with M1/M2, however we are at the mercy of VirtualBox catching up with Apple Silicon too. VirtualBox 7 is currently in beta for Apple Silicon and is not fully stable.
If you have a KodeKloud Pro subscription, you could use the CentOS playground to do the exercises - except for ones related directly to VirtualBox.
