Hi I have booked my CKA exam with kodecloud kode with 20% discount. I clicked on My Learning portal and now it is showing me “Resume” Option. Does that mean that my exam started ? Whereas right now I am not ready for the exam. I have only booked the exam.
Just need clarity that until I will not go to Exam Simulator the exam will not start ? Please guide me.
It means “resume your check list”. You’ll need to go through the steps in the form before you can schedule your exam, and before you actually take it.
Ok Rob. Thanks for the update.
Here is what you still need to do
- Access killer.sh when you are ready to try it. See here.
- Links to documentation on Linux Foundation site. Read it, then press the orange button.
- Press the verify now button to set your full name, which must match the name on the ID card you intend to use.
- Use this button to set the date and time you intend to take the actual exam. This can be any time between now and May 12, 2025 so you don’t need to do it until you are confident you are ready for exam. You are strongly advised to schedule it for at least 6 weeks before the expiration date, in case you need to do a retake which must also be scheduled and completed before that expiration date!
You cannot schedule the exam until you have completed all other items (2, 3, 5 and 6) on this page.
- This will perform a basic check of your computer, e.g. broadband is fast enough, microphone and camera are working. It does not check for example, programs that are not allowed to be operational during the exam. See also this.
- These final two items are links to more documentation on the LF site. Follow the links to mark these items complete.
The github pages that I have linked to above - you should read the whole pages as they answer all common exam doubts asked by students.
