AWS SAA course first networking lab - unable to create VPC

Anyone else having an issue creating the VPC in the first lab for the AWS SAA certification course?

he first lab under the networking section requires you to create a VPC in region us-east-1. The account provisioned does not have access to create a VPC in us-east-1

Error -

There was an error creating your VPC
You are not authorized to perform this operation. User: arn:aws:iam::438147413207:user/kk_labs_user_295017 is not authorized to perform: ec2:CreateVpc on resource: arn:aws:ec2:us-east-1:438147413207:vpc/* because no identity-based policy allows the ec2:CreateVpc action. Worked for me. Ensure you got the CIDR range and name correct too. Policies may be in effect to prevent other configurations

Hey, thanks for the sanity check. I was literally copying/pasting the name and CIDR from the screen into AWS but I was getting errors.

I just tried again… works just fine.

One other note, is last night there were issues even ‘viewing’ the VPC data in us-east-1. So every screen click under VPC was giving an error for that IAM user.

I can’t reproduce it today, so I guess it’s good to go!?
