Zip is not installed neither it allow to install

Not clear exactly what you did or where you’re trying to do it. Is this:

  1. Using our AWS playground?
  2. Using CloudShell.
  3. Is “zip” the binary, or something else?

There is a lab in AWS lambda course - Create basic lambda function using CLI. The lab utilizes zip command to zip a file.

OK, I see the problem, in Step 6 of the lab. It appears Ubuntu 23.10 is EOL, so the lab no longer works (and likely, could not be set up by installing zip either). I’ve reported this to our lab team.
