Hello, In AWS free tier account(12 months) offers 750 Hours for Amazon EC2 per month for t2 and t3 micro instance. But when I check under AWS Billing > Free Tier, it showing current usage is 12 Hrs and in Forecasted Usage showing 16 Hrs. Now getting confuse whether we have to use 750 Hrs per month or for all 12 months
What it means is that you can use 750 hours total in any billing month
On average, there are 30.5 days a month, which is 732 hours. This means that you should be able to leave one of those instance types running full time and not get charged.
If you had two running constantly, you would use 1464 hours, so you would be billed for 714 hours.
If you only ran instances for 8 hours a day weekdays only (of which there are approx 21 per month) you could run 4 and not get charged.
Clearly every month is not 30.5 days so the hours would vary month on month.
You do not have to use up all the hours, but unused hours are not credited to the next month.
